Periodontal (gum) disease is a chronic bacterial infection that affects the gums and bones supporting the teeth. Left untreated, these infections can lead to tooth loss, and may contribute to other health problems like heart attacks, strokes, diabetes arthritis and other chronic inflammatory diseases just to name a few. While periodontal disease is not curable, it is controllable.  The key to success in periodontal therapy is early diagnosis and treatment intervention. Tooth whitening is a simple yet effective procedure that lightens teeth and helps to remove stains and discolouration.  Whitening is among the most popular cosmetic dental procedures, because it can significantly improve how your teeth look.  The most common reasons for teeth to become yellow or stained are: aging, tobacco, tea, and coffee.  All of these can stain the surface of the teeth. It is also possible to have stains that are inside the tooth.  These are called intrinsic stains and can be caused by things like exposure to tetracycline or...

This includes filling decayed or broken teeth, root canals, the restoration of broken or missing teeth with crowns and/or bridges, and the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal gum disease.  We offer a full range of services from the treatment of a single tooth to full comprehensive dentistry.

Does fear or anxiety prevent you from seeking dental treatment? If so, conscious sedation with nitrous oxide may help you to get the dental care that you need. If you are interested in dentistry with nitrous oxide (laughing gas) please contact our office. Be sure to mention your interest in nitrous oxide when speaking to our patient care coordinators to ensure you are scheduled with Dr. Aiello who is our nitrous oxide provider.

The next best thing to natural teeth, implants look, feel and function like natural teeth.   If you are missing teeth as a result of gum disease, decay, a failed root canal, a fracture or injury, then dental implants are an exciting option that has changed the lives of many.Because implants are placed in the bone and are not attached to any other teeth, they fuse safely and securely, providing long term stability.  Another advantage of implants is that they stimulate bone growth, thus preventing future bone loss and facial collapse.
